This study tour was a highly beneficial “second classroom” experience. It not only broadened the children’s horizons but also promoted their growth in multiple ways.
It sparked their scientific interest and innovative thinking by allowing them to witness firsthand the working principles and demonstrations of special vehicles such as snowplows and kitchen waste trucks, and to experience cutting-edge technologies like “driverless road sweepers,” feeling the charm of the upgrade from “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing.”
This study tour was a comprehensive practical classroom integrating scientific enlightenment, vocational experience, labor education, and the cultivation of local sentiment. It showed the children that knowledge exists not only in textbooks but also on the bustling production line and ingenious creations.
